The Center for Integrity in Forensic Science works to ensure that only sound science is utilized in the criminal legal system.

For too long, the criminal legal system has relied on methods that have not been subjected to serious scientific review, leading to miscarriages of justice. CIFS promotes the integrity of criminal proceedings by engaging with scientific and legal communities, and providing training, amicus support, legislative expertise, and other assistance to reform-minded individuals and organizations.
