Legal Innovator Award

We are proud to announce The Center for Integrity in Forensic Sciences (CIFS) has received the 2020 Wisconsin Legal Innovator Award by the State Bar of Wisconsin. We are honored to receive this award that acknowledges our work in strengthening forensic science in the courtroom as well as correcting the injustices that have occurred because of flawed forensic science.

No one should be in prison because of faulty forensic science. “Everyone deserves a fair trial, no matter who they are and whether they’re guilty or innocent,” says Executive Director Kate Judson. “When misleading forensic science is used to convict someone, their trial wasn’t fair.  That’s why we’re dedicated to improving the reliability of forensic science across the country and around the world.”

More on this award and CIFS is available now in Wisconsin Lawyer magazine and online at WisBar.org
